A national award-winning advocate and donor organizer for funding racial equity and gender-centered initiatives. Akilah has grant-making and nonprofit executive experience working with grassroots movements for racial, economic, gender and social justice, community foundations, and youth development programs. Most notably, she is the founder & chair of HERitage Giving Fund, the first Black giving circle serving North Texas.
